West Chester ranks among top 100 small cities

West Chester Township

Dayton Business Journal

West Chester is among the top small cities in America, according to a Money Magazine. The city ranked No. 97 for places with populations between 50,000 and 300,000.

The annual report is based on economic strength, the quality of health care, crime rates, schools, and recreation.

Here is what Money says about West Chester: “This township 18 miles north of Cincinnati is booming thanks to nearby employers like BAE Systems, AK Steel, and the new West Chester Hospital. Some expansion plans were stymied by the economy, but a development that will offer residential, retail, and entertainment space is in the works.”

Carmel, Ind., ranked No. 1 on the list, followed by McKinney, Texas, and Eden Prairie, Minn.
