WEST CHESTER TWP. —

A Butler County shopping center recently sold for $3.8 million.

Schumacher Dugan affiliate Centre Park Properties sold the building at 9316 Union Centre Blvd., part of the West Chester Town Center, for $3.8 million on Aug. 16.

The buyer was Vulcan Property Management Co., a Cincinnati-based real estate management and development company.

The at-capacity shopping center includes restaurants Tom + Chee, Yummy Bowl, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Aladdin’s Eatery, Sushi Samurais and Smoothie King, as well as U.S. Bank, Allure Nail Spa, FedEx Office and Scottrade.

The property sits along a bustling, highly visible portion of Union Centre Boulevard and fronts The Square @ Union Centre, an area where West Chester Twp. holds community events.

John Gabriel of Vulcan Property Management said purchasing the property was “an internal decision.”

“We’ve had office properties located downtown, and we still have one, and I wanted to diversity any real estate we purchased moving forward,” Gabriel said. “It’s in a different county … it’s a retail property —we only have office property — and frankly it’s on one of probably the best corners in the county up there. The location is absolutely beautiful, and it’s been maintained wonderfully by Schumacher Dugan.

“All those things just made it very, very attractive.”
