Ohio gives breaks to 13 firms to create 1,417 jobs

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved assistance for 13 projects across the state that are expected to create 1,417 jobs and spur $86 million in investment.

Seven of the projects are located in Hamilton, Butler and Clinton counties. Here's a breakdown of local projects:

Avure Technologies Inc. in Middletown expects to create 30 full-time positions to generate $1.9 million in additional annual payroll at the company’s new location. Avure received a 40 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for its design, manufacturing and installation of high-pressure machinery.

Control Concepts and Design Inc. dba E-Technologies Group in West Chester Township plans to create 27 full-time positions for $2.3 million in additional payroll and retain $8 million in existing payroll through its expansion. The engineering and information technology services provider will receive a 45 percent, five-year tax credit.

A 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit was approved for Custom Molded Products LLC dba NB Allen Ltd., a manufacturing firm that creates emergency, dental, automotive and home sundry items in Wilmington. The company plans to create 40 full-time positions generating $1.2 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $4 million in existing payroll as it expands.

A 50 percent, seven-year tax credit was approved for DealerTrack Inc., a contract scanning and vehicle title administration company also located in Wilmington. The company plans to create 213 full-time positions generating $6 million in additional payroll and retaining $1.4 million in existing payroll.

Emery Oleochemicals LLC in St. Bernard plans to create 35 full-time positions generating $2.7 million in additional payroll and retaining $21 million in existing payroll in its expansion. The natural-based chemical producer will receive a 45 percent, five-year job tax credit.

The plan for creation of 100 full-time positions generating $5.3 million in additional annual payroll and retaining $3.4 million in existing payroll at Epipheo Inc. in Cincinnati has been approved for a 50 percent, six-year tax credit. The Internet video studio provides online marketing videos.

Praxair Distribution Inc. in Wilmington will receive a 40 percent, six-year tax credit to create 25 full-time positions generating $1.1 million in additional payroll as the result of its new location project. Praxair produces and distributes high-pressure atmospheric and industrial gases for industrial and medical uses.
