New West Chester Splash Park open in Beckett Park

Just in time for summer, West Chester Township made a big splash with the opening of its new Splash Park at Beckett Park late May.

Located at 8545 Beckett Road, the West Chester Splash Park is the largest of its kind in the State of Ohio and is free to the public. Designed with inclusivity in mind, the new park features interactive water elements for all ages and abilities, including a water slide, a giant tipping bucket, ground sprays, and plenty of shaded seating for families.

“This project is a reflection of West Chester’s commitment to invest in beneficial amenities and inclusive public spaces that bring our community together,” said Township Administrator Lisa Brown. “We wanted to create a place for our families to enjoy while being fiscally responsible with our investment. This is part of our long-term plan to reinvest in our parks infrastructure in a strategic and thoughtful way.”

Beckett Park serves as a regional destination for recreation and community connection. The Splash Park compliments Beckett Park’s existing amenities, which includes the boundless playground, paved walking trails, fishing ponds, and the historic Muhlhauser Barn.
