WEST CHESTER TWP. —

Patty Burger is scheduled to hold a hiring event Thursday in advance of opening its new location next month.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Staybridge Suites, 8955 Lakota Drive West, West Chester Twp. The new restaurant is looking to hire between 30 to 40 part-time staffers and one full-time employee, according to P.J. May, director of talent.

Available positions include line cooks, service staff and shift leaders, May said.

“We are looking for huge, out-there personalities who can bring a rock-star feel to the modern/throwback diner,” he said.

The new restaurant is tentatively set to open Feb. 2 at 9220 Allen Road, the former site of Qdoba Mexican Grill, according to Katelyn Wujciga, director of marketing for Chicago-based Wildcat Investments.

Patty Burger opened in Chicago in 2005 thanks to Wildcat Investments founder Gregg Majewski, who was instrumental in the Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches chain, Wujciga said. It closed when its lease expired and the landlord opted to sell the building.

The restaurant is launching with new burgers and the freshest ingredients, she said.

“We deliver and all our ingredients are fresh, never frozen,” Wujciga said. “We bake our bread fresh daily and we only use Angus beef, plus we have chicken patties, black bean and tuna, as well.”

The restaurant also will serve fresh-cut fries, real ice cream milkshakes, salads and other gourmet options, she said.

Majewski chose to locate Patty Burger on Lakota Drive West because he sees “great opportunity” in West Chester Twp., Wujciga said.
