RightSource, Humana Inc.’s mail order pharmacy service, is adding 200 full-time jobs in the next three months.

RightSource is hiring for positions at its West Chester distribution center and Springdale offices. Positions include pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, inventory managers, and shipping and packaging jobs.

“These jobs represent part of a larger investment in our dream of helping people achieve lifelong well-being,” Larry Savage, Humana Regional CEO, said in a news release. “By expanding our capacity to deliver state-of-the-art pharmacy solutions to our members, we’re continuing our evolution beyond traditional health benefits and helping them live life fully.”

Last September, the Business Courier reported that RightSource would be adding 200 jobs in Springdale. At the time, company officials said it could grow employment to 1,200 workers at the site in the next two years.

A Humana (NYSE: HUM spokesman said the company is six months ahead of schedule on hiring. With the additional 200 jobs the company is currently hiring for, its total employment between its Springdale office and West Chester distribution center will be 1,250.

This marks the third major local employment announcement from Humana in the last five years. By early 2013, Humana will have grown from less than 800 employees at one location to more than 2,200 in three locations in Greater Cincinnati.

RightSource, formed in 2006, provides mail-order pharmacy services to Humana plan members and to other patients whose employers have hired Humana as pharmacy benefits manager.

“As we’ve grown our capacity to serve our members with mail order pharmacy services, Greater Cincinnati has proven to be an ideal place to expand our operations,” Alan Martin, general manager of operations for RightSource in Ohio, said in a news release. “This area is blessed with a large number of nearby pharmacy schools and a well-educated workforce that has allowed us to build a world-class customer service operation.”
