BAE Systems awarded $67.8 million Army contract

WEST CHESTER — The Army awarded a $67.8 million contract to BAE Systems Survivability Systems LLC for weapons armament assemblies for Army vehicles.

The company is to provide overhead gunner protection kit sub-assemblies under a one-year contract that expires Sept. 28, 2012, the Defense Department said.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Warren, Mich., awarded the work to BAE’s West Chester facility.
