Sugar Creek Packing Co. will consolidate its corporate staff and move its headquarters to West Chester.

The manufacturer of bacon and other food products will create 58 new jobs and retain 53 others in the move from Washington Court House. It will also make $2 million in capital investment.

The plan is a result of state tax credits approved by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority’s review panel on Monday. The agency granted a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project, which will generate $1.8 million in additional annual payroll and retain $5.8 million in existing payroll.

The panel also approved an incentive package for Hamilton’s ThyssenKrupp Bilstein of America.

Sugar Creek currently operates five facilities in Ohio and Kansas. It also recently purchased a 70,000-square-foot plant in Cambridge City, Ind., which will manufacture protein products for food service, industrial, retail and club customers.
