A second luxury apartment complex is coming to West Chester Township’s central business district.

HILLS Properties began construction on five buildings on an 8.2-acre site along Centre Pointe Drive near its intersection with West Chester Towne Centre Drive.

The Residences at Clocktower apartment complex will have 335 one-and-two bedroom units and is targeted to young professionals and empty nesters.

The development will target renters by choice in this prime destination in the heart of West Chester's central business district.  The apartments will have an urban feel like Hill Properties' nearby Savoy, at the Streets of West Chester, which won a national award three years ago.

The smallest one bedroom unit has 825 square feet, renting for $1,290 per month. Two-bedroom apartments with a den have 1,290 square feet, with the average two-bedroom containing 1,170 square feet, Copfer said.  The rent for two-bedroom units begins at $1,950 and could go as high as $2,200 per month.

The building that fronts the roundabout on Centre Pointe Drive will have a fifth floor terraced rooftop that overlooks The Square @ Union Centre. It will be used for events and wine tasting. Residents can also book it for their own gatherings.

The complex includes a clubhouse with full kitchen, lounge and cyber café, golf simulator, 24-hour fitness center, heated saltwater pool, fire pit, grill, interior courtyard and pet spa.

Residents will have use of a first floor garage with bicycle parking, electric car charging station, an elevator to all floors, and key fob access.  Interior features include French doors, high-speed internet access, 9-foot ceilings, solid wood cabinets, quartz countertops, USB charging outlets, washer/dryer, and stainless steel appliances.
