A Charlotte-based tech company is building a new data center expansion in West Chester.

Peak 10 Inc., a national information technology infrastructure and cloud services provider, says it is building out a new 20,000 square foot data center expansion at 5307 Muhlhauser Road, which will bring its data center operations in the Cincinnati-Dayton area to 47,000 square feet.

The company says the new expansion, built on a greenfield site, will have 13,000 square feet of raised-floor data center space as well as its own HVAC and generators. The company said in a news release the new center will help it serve more customers in Ohio and Northern Indiana.

“Our consistent growth in all of our markets is the result of mid-market businesses in need of a true IT partner that can offer consultative expertise to support their long-term growth goals,” said David Jones, chairman and CEO of Peak 10.

Southwest Ohio has been a site of major technology investments in recent years, both because of a higher concentration of tech-focused graduates here and for the relatively low cost of living compared to major cities.

Peak 10 has 27 data centers across the country.
