UNION CENTRE GETS A "CORNERSTONE" DEVELOPMENT

Cinmar, Inc. and Cornerstone Services Company have selected the Union Centre Commerce Park in west Chester as the location for their new office, distribution and retail facility.

Total investment at the facility will reach nearly $100 million dollars, with over 700 full-time and 400 part-time employment positions created or transferred from Cinmar's existing operations. Total annual wages of these employees is estimated to be over $25 million dollars.

This 860,000 square foot building will serve as the corporate headquarters of the two companies, plus serve as the primary order fulfillment center for the umbrella of catalog companies owned by the International Cornerstone Group. In addition a 50,000 square foot retail outlet store is planned for the site, featuring products from the company's catalogs.

The building will be located at the northwest corner of Union Centre Boulevard and West Chester Road, approximately one-half mile from the Union Centre Boulevard/I-75 Interchange.

Once completed, the facility will serve as a "cornerstone" of the Union Centre Commerce Park, a mixed-use development featuring a combination of corporate office, restaurants, retail and hotels.

The new facility will provide capacity for International Cornerstone Group to consolidate the order fulfillment operations of their various catalogs, including Frontgate, TravelSmith Outfitters, Ballard Designs, Garnett Hill, The Territory Ahead, and Whispering Pines.

Cinmar President Paul Tarvin highlighted the improved access to labor markets offered by the Union Township location as a primary factor in the location decision. He noted the new facility provides current and future employees an easy commute from population centers in Butler, Warren, Hamilton, Clermont and Montgomery counties.

Schumacher Dugan Construction Company, a West Chester Development Council Full Level Partner, will be the principal developer of the project.

At the groundbreaking ceremony held on June 17th, John O'Steen, President and CEO of Cornerstone Services Group. highlighted the coordinated effort between Union Township, Butler County and the state of Ohio in providing a winning package for the project.
