West Chester Development Council is a non-profit corporation, representing a public/private partnership between the township and the private business sector, which is governed by a five member board of directors.

West Chester Development Council's mission is to aggressively encourage and assist in the growth of West Chester's business sector through the attraction and business expansion of companies and projects which will positively impact the community and maintain the quality infrastructure. Accordingly, it is the responsibility of West Chester Development Council and West Chester to position the community as a profitable business location through the continuous improvement of the business operating environment.

West Chester Development Council will accomplish this mission by working closely with numerous stakeholders, including the West Chester Administration, the development community, the existing business community and other local, regional and state organizations.
