Featured Projects IKEA IKEA, the world's leading home furnishings retailer, announced July 2006 it will open its first Ohio store in West Chester. The 339,000 square foot store will be built on 56 acres along I-75 at the southeastern corner of Allen and Muhlhauser Roads (Union Centre Boulevard District). IKEA West Chester will feature three model homes, 50 display rooms, supervised children's play area, and 300-seat restaurant serving Swedish specialties. Construction will begin Fall 2006 on this $30+M project with an anticipated opening Fall 2007 with approximately 400 employees. IKEA plans to later sell approximately 6 acres for complementary retail and restaurant use. The Pointe at Union Centre The Pointe at Union Centre, a 146,800 square foot Class A office/warehouse complex was announced by RGW Development and Design Build Solutions July 2006. The project will include two 70,000 square foot buildings to be located at the southwest corner of Muhlhauser Road and International Boulevard. Additional Projects Allure Nail Spa, a full-service nail salon and spa, leased a 1,135 square foot facility at 9340 Union Centre Boulevard (US Bank Building) in the West Chester Towne Centre July 2006. www.schumacher-dugan.com Buckeye Distributing, a distributor for Red Bull energy drinks, announced July 2006 it will expand its West Chester operation and relocate into a 20,000 square foot facility in The Pointe at Union Centre when it opens early 2007. Clark Steel Framing Systems, specializing in the light gauge steel framing industry, announced July 2006 it will relocate its corporate headquarters to a 10,290 square foot office at 9100 Centre Pointe Drive in Duke Realty’s Centre Pointe Office Park (Union Centre Boulevard District). Clark Steel at Centre Pointe Office Park Coyote Grille, specializing in steaks, chops, seafood and Tex Mex cuisine, announced July 2006 it will open an 8,400 square foot restaurant at 9040 Centre Pointe Drive in the West Chester Towne Centre (Union Centre Boulevard District). Coyote Grille Highlands Retail Center, a new 12,000 square foot retail shopping center to be built at 8201 Highland Pointe Drive was announced July 2006 by Neyer Properties. Highlands Retail Center JG MMA Academy, Team Jorge Gurgel’s mixed martial arts training center, announced July 2006 it will relocate its academy to a 12,573 square foot facility at 7716 Service Center Drive in Miller Valentine’s Beacon Pointe off Cox Road (Voice of America Centre District). Polymet Corporation Queen City Polymers, specializing in the machining and fabrication of plastic materials, announced July 2006 a 51,800 square foot expansion to its existing corporate headquarters at 6101 Schumacher Park Drive in Schumacher Commerce Park off Allen Road.
