AVS Kratz-Wilde Machine Company
AVS Kratz-Wilde Machine Company has selected its West Chester plant for an expansion to meet corporate sales growth. The project involves an investment of $4,500,000. The constructed a 53,000 square foot addition and this created an additional 50 new employees.
BGR, Inc.
BGR, Inc. completed a 100,000 square foot expansion to its current building in 1998. This was the company's third expansion in the past five years.
Buschman Company, The
The Buschman Company, West Chester's second largest private sector employer, undertook a $7 million dollar expansion of their manufacturing facility. The expansion included the purchase of additional machinery and equipment and resulted in the increase of approximately 71 employment positions.
CTL Aerospace, Inc.
CTL Aerospace, Inc., a high tech manufacturer of polymer composite products for the aerospace industry, completed a major expansion of their current West Chester operations. The project included the occupancy of an additional 25,000 square feet and the investment of additional machinery and equipment. The company leases their space from WC Development Council Partner, Duke Realty Corporation.
General Electric Engine Services
General Electric Engine Services selected a West Chester site to construct a new 80,000 square foot jet engine repair shop. The total project investment at the facility was approximately $10 million, and the facility houses approximately 1100 employees. The building will be leased from WC Development Council Partner, Warm Bros. Construction Company.
Phoenix Presentations, Inc.
Phoenix Presentations, Inc. took occupancy of a new 120,000 square foot office/manufacturing/distribution facility in West Chester in order to combine two current Township facilities into one location. The expansion will result in the creation of at least 25 new employment opportunities. The building was construected and is owned by WC Development Council Partner, Duke Realty Corporation.
Prestige Display and Packaging
Prestige Display and Packaging completed an approximately $6 million dollar expansion of its current facility in West Chester in 1998. The project involved the construction of nearly 80,000 square feet of additional office and operational space and resulted in the creation of an additional 50 employment positions.
Procter & Gamble Corporate Packaging & Prototype Devopment Group
Procter & Gamble's Corporate Packaging & Prototype Development Group was the first P&G facility to open in West Chester in September of 1998. The Group, located on 24.5 acres at 8611 Beckett Road, is a research and development facility for a variety of consumer products. The 124,000-square-foot building houses 350 employees with many different R&D groups working within the center. The Packaging Department researches and develops a variety of packaging materials for P&G products. The package prototypes are shown to focus groups in the natural environment of Procter & Gamble's Future Home Lab at the Beckett Ridge Institute on Beckett Road. The real property project investment was $12,195,000.
Rite Track Equipment Services, Inc.
Rite Track Equipment Services, Inc. expanded in West Chester with the construction of a new 25,000 square foot building on Union Centre Boulevard. Rite Track was started in "Silicon Valley", and manufactures and refurbishes Track systems used in the production of computer chips. WC Development Council Partner, Schumacher Dugan Construction, Inc., was the developer for the project.
Valvoline Oil Co.
Valvoline Oil Co. expanded their operation in West Chester by increasing their facility size by nearly 50%. The company occupies approximately 140,000 square feet of space in a building constructed by WC Development Council Partner, Duke Realty Corporation.
